The Amazon Rainforest is considered crucial in the fight against global warming.
In the middle of the rainforest, 325 meters high, stands a metal tower higher than the Eiffel Tower. The steel giant, created by the research project ATTO (Amazonian Tall Tower Observatory) is equipped with measuring instruments that help record and evaluate the climate-relevant chemical and physical processes of the largest contiguous forest area in the world and thus create new foundations for climate protection.
Working safely with INNOTECH in Brazil
For permanent protection during the ascent and descent, INNOTECH designed a rail system.
The customized special version of our TAURUS rail system allows people working on the ATTO tower to secure themselves safely on the mobile anchorage point or on the guided type fall arrester. Flexible rail connectors and end seals are very easy to install. Curved and arched elements adapt perfectly to the structural conditions - an optimal fall protection for the measuring tower. In the unlikely event of a fall the allround slider blocks and therefore saves lives. Supported by the Max Planck Institute in Jena and local helpers, this beautiful giant was installed.
