Single anchor points are an individual form of fall prevention on roofs, facades or other endangered areas. They may be used together with personal protective equipment (PPE) as restraint system or fall arrest system.
Single anchor points enable the user to attach their safety harness with a lanyard. Usually they are equipped with an anchorage eye, to which a carabiner (according to EN 362) can be fastened. Depending on the type of application this securing option keeps the user at distance from the edge to prevent either a fall (restraint system) or to catch a already falling person (fall arrest system).
They are used as standard safety systems on roof surfaces as well as in different areas of the industry, such as crane tracks, on construction machines or on production lines.
